Logging¶
Log files are written from the Turbo processes :
- Turbo Hook program for Microsoft C/C++ Compiler
- Turbo Scheduler service
- Turbo Agent service
- Turbo Monitor application
- Turbo Visual Studio Enabler (
turbo-vs-solution-enabler.exe)
The log files are located in C:\ProgramData\Turbo\logs.
Log output is of format :
TURBO : 20241217 17:04:04.934 W [0] : License is due to expire in 24 days on 2025-01-11
TURBO : YYYYmmdd HH:MM:SS.sss E|W|I|D|T [thread #] : message
Note above the E|W|I|D|T denotes the various log (verbosity) levels, which are :
| Msg Indicator | Log verbosity level |
|---|---|
| E | Error |
| W | Warning |
| I | Information |
| D | Debug |
| T | Trace |
The logging verbosity level can be modified in the relevant XML config file, or alternatively by setting the environment variable TURBO_LOG_LEVEL.
Using the log-levels Debug and Trace can have a slight effect on performance of the process. Trace should not normally be used unless troubleshooting an issue.
